TRI Pointe Looks to Ease Closing Process for Homebuyers

TRI Pointe has launched a new platform that is meant to provide homebuyers with end-to-end support throughout the closing process.

The Irvine, Calif.-based homebuilder has combined two product offerings — TRI Pointe Connect and TRI Point Assurance — to unveil TRI Pointe Solutions. TRI Pointe Connect, formed as a joint venture with imortgage, will offer mortgage-related services. Meanwhile, TRI Pointe Assurance will act as a title agency for First American Title.

This platform was created four months after TRI Pointe merged with Weyerhaeuser Real Estate Co., the operator of five homebuilding companies — Pardee Homes, Quadrant Homes, Winchester Homes, Trendmaker Homes and Maracay Homes.

"Following the merger with WRECO, we turned our attention to executing several key incremental income initiatives to capitalize on the company's expanded operations," said Tom Mitchell, president and chief operating officer of TRI Pointe, in a press release. "These new mortgage and title services are the beginning of the added value that we anticipate from our diversified platform."

The Connect product will be offered across all TRI Pointe brands by the middle of next year, starting first with Quadrant Homes in the Puget Sound market since a "preferred lender relationship" with imortgage has already been established here, the release said.

Furthermore, the release added that Trendmaker Homes in Houston will have first access to TRI Pointe Assurance before the product is expanded to other markets.
