HomeTrust Bancshares has hired Kristin Powell as senior vice president and director of mortgage lending. She now holds the position alongside John Myers, who has been with the Ashville, N.C. bank for more than 30 years.
Over 15 years Powell has acquired experience in mortgage talent recruiting. Most recently she was vice president and market manager for PNC Mortgage's Central North Carolina market.
Powell led mortgage sales strategy and residential wholesale lending at RBC Bank for almost six years. She was also previously an account executive at Bank of America.
Powell will work from the $2.5 billion bank's Charlotte office and report to EVP and chief banking officer Hunter Westbrook.
