In its fourth year, the Digital Mortgage Conference will take place Sept. 23-24. After a smashing success, we're doubling down on Las Vegas and heading to the Wynn. The conference is a one-of-a-kind experience bringing together lenders, servicers and technology developers.

The event will showcase a series of top industry executives discussing what's working well, what still needs a little TLC and where the mortgage process is headed in terms of technology. Session topics include insights on electronic closings, digital strategies and will take a closer look at evolving individual sectors.

The event's main attraction features nearly three dozen live demonstrations of digital mortgage products representing the entire spectrum of the home lending process. While it's a great opportunity for mortgage executives to get a first-hand look at the latest innovations, the stakes are even higher this year for the vendors.

A panel of judges will score each demo with prizes given out to the most innovative vendor. All 35 presenting companies can be found here.

At the close of each conference day, attendees can kick back, chat and network over cocktails. The first day will feature an exclusive industry party at the Wynn's XS Nightclub, and the second will conclude with a happy hour.

The agenda's set and the highlights are below. See you in Vegas!

Strategy

Finding the right business strategy and executing it properly are critical for mortgage companies. When markets tighten, navigating means providing high levels of value. Automation and tech set-backs stem from costly, broken and ineffective processes. The strategy track will identify those broken processes and show how to prevent them.

An evolving market landscape

Much of the industry experienced considerable innovative growth over the past decade, though certain segments lagged behind. As sectors of the market play catch-up, panelists will share insights on the secondary market and broker channel making digital strides. With the rise of broker-focused tech, the wholesale market share is projected to double over the next year. In another session, industry pros will discuss bringing the secondary mindset into the first position by exploring how tech can benefit the pricing of loans.

What to do with data

The mortgage industry is essentially all about data, and finding ways to efficiently utilize that data sits at the center of the digital mortgage era. In a track devoted to the topic, panelists will share insights on use cases like identifying potential customers before they even start house shopping, execution strategies and future opportunities and implications presented by data.

Women in mortgage tech

While the mortgage and technology industries made strides on gender equality, there's still a ways to go. The conference offers a forum aimed at women empowerment through networking and collaboration.

It's chaired by Kim Hoffman, chief operating officer at Envoy Mortgage, features Laura Escobar, president of Eagle Home Mortgage, as keynote speaker, and includes a panel discussion with industry leaders.

First-hand experience

Live demonstrations are the haymaker for the DigMo Conference. An increased total of 35 companies will present their latest cutting-edge products that will innovate the industry in the coming years.

A panel of judges will score each demo and the vendor with the most innovative product, technology or idea will win a $15,000 prize, sponsored by LendingTree. There will also be a people's choice award, relying on the audience voting on their favorite demo. The winner for that receives credit towards a future DigMo sponsorship.

E-closing evolution

In its pursuit of an end-to-end digital process, the mortgage industry is setting aim at electronic closings to facilitate an entirely online experience. Panelists at the Digital Mortgage Conference 2019 will discuss what's working, what continues to evolve and what's missing in terms of e-closing implementation. Speakers will also share perspectives on remote online notarization, and look to examples of successful hybrid closings as the industry takes steps forward.
