Greg L. Cox has been named co-chief investment officer and senior portfolio manager at Capri Real Estate Securities, Chicago.Mr. Cox was most recently the portfolio manager with the University of Texas Investment Management Co. and the UT Investment Office. He managed a public real estate portfolio for the two institutions from April 1993 through the end of September 2005, Capri said. Thomas S. Dreyer, Capri's chief executive officer and co-CIO, said Mr. Cox will enable Capri to offer its first "long-only" real estate investment trust product as part of its recently launched U.S. REIT strategy.

Christopher P. Mundy has been appointed executive vice president and chief investment officer of Washington Real Estate Investment Trust, Rockville, Md.Mr. Mundy was most recently EVP of strategic planning and operations at Equity Office Properties Trust, where he supervised five regional business units in the Eastern United States from 2000 to 2004. George Deehan, president of Sunset Financial Resources Inc., Jacksonville, Fla., has been named to the additional post of chief executive officer of the real estate investment trust, and Rodney Bennett has been named chairman of the REIT.Mr. Deehan, 63, who was recently named president and chief operating officer of the REIT, succeeds Bert Watson, who has resigned as CEO and as chairman of the board, Sunset Financial reported. Livermore, president of First American Real Estate Solutions, has been named to the additional post of president of The First American Corp.'s Property Information Group.In that position, Mr. Livermore will oversee Data Trace and Data Tree as well as the group's staff, First American said. Mr. Livermore became president of First American RES in 1997, when Experian (formerly TRW Information Systems & Services) merged its real estate information businesses with First American's Real Estate Information Services Division. Fred Bolstad has been named managing director of wholesale lending at CitiMortgage, St. Louis, effective Oct. 1.Mr. Bolstad joined CitiMortgage in 2001 as national sales director for its Smith Barney and employee channels, the company said. Richard Caldwell has been named executive vice president and chief lending officer at California Savings Bank's San Francisco office as part of the bank's expansion of commercial real estate lending in Northern California.The San Francisco-based bank said it now has three commercial lending offices serving Northern California: San Francisco, Walnut Creek, and Sacramento. Patricia Theophilus, EVP and chief credit officer, said the bank now has a commercial loan pipeline of over $300 million. Mr. Caldwell, who was previously a principal at Buchanan Street Partners, a regional mortgage bank and fund manager, said California Savings plans to "move quickly to meet rising demand in the region for land loans, ground-up construction, value-added bridge financing, and permanent loans across a broad range of commercial property types, including multifamily, retail, hospitality, R&D, office, industrial, and single-family residential tracts." Daschle of South Dakota, who was the Senate Democratic leader until his re-election defeat in 2004, has joined the board of directors of CB Richard Ellis Group Inc., Los Angeles.Mr. Daschle is currently special policy adviser in the Washington office of the Alston & Bird law firm, where he advises clients on a variety of public policy issues, including financial services.
