Mortgage delinquencies were up in March, according to data from Intercontinental Exchange, which reports on month-end delinquency, foreclosure and prepayment statistics sourced from its loan-level database, which covers a majority of the U.S. mortgage market.
In March, Louisiana was the top state by non-current percentage at 7.52%, with a year-over-year change of -0.07%, while Oregon was the bottom state by non-current percentage at 2.21% with a year-over-year change of 1.86%. Louisiana was also the top state by 90+ days delinquent percentage at 2.02%, with a year-over-year change of 14.12%.
The top state for 12-month change in non-current percentage in March was New York, at -13.46% and the bottom state was Florida, at 10.36%.
