Industry leaders participated in a roundtable discussing the latest trends in mortgage fraud and what lenders and servicers can do to detect illegal loan applications they receiver from a borrower.

The Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association recent held a meeting on “The Future of Global Capital Requirements,” noting that one of the “main themes of industry response” to rulemaking in this area so far has been that generally “the proposals would result in much higher capital requirements” for most positions.
