Amherst Securities Group this week hired three mortgage industry veterans to expand its sales division: Peter Davidson, Chris Heaney and Chris O'Neill.
The new additions will help expand Amherst's client base and build on the services it provides to customers.
Davidson was named a managing director in Amherst's New York office covering insurance companies, money managers and hedge funds. He joins the firm from Royal Bank of Scotland, where he was a managing director working in MBS sales since April 2009. Before RBS, he was a director in MBS sales at Merrill Lynch where he spent more than eight years.
Heaney was named a managing director in Amherst's mortgage sales division in the Westport, CT office. He comes to Amherst from Jefferies where he was a managing director focusing on structured product sales including MBS, ABS, CMBS, and CDOs. Before Jefferies, Heaney was a senior managing director at Bear Stearns, where he worked for 22 years in the fixed-income department.
O'Neill will serve as a senior vice president in Amherst's mortgage sales division based in New York. He was formerly at Jefferies where he was a senior vice president in its MBS and structured product sales group.
