AppraiserLoft, the troubled AMC, has suspended all new business, and is preparing to shut down.

The move comes about two months after the resignation of company founder Aman Makkar and exclusive reporting by National Mortgage News that the San Diego-based company was not paying some of its appraisers in a timely fashion.
At press time company officials could not be reached for comment. Callers to the firm’s San Diego headquarters are met with a recorded message that says, “At this time we are no longer accepting new orders.”
