Bank of America's vice chairman and a former chief financial officer will retire next month.
Charles Noski notified Bank of America last Monday that he would step down effective Sept. 1, the Charlotte company said in a new filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Noski, a former finance chief at AT&T (NYSE:T) and Northrop Grumman (NOC), joined Bank of America in May 2010 but had to leave the CFO position and become vice chairman last year when a family matter prevented him from moving to Charlotte from Los Angeles. The CFO has to work in Charlotte.
Bruce Thompson then became CFO.
B of A ranks fourth among residential lenders and second among servicers. It continues to be plagued with buyback problems with Fannie Mae.
