Total Mortgage Services LLC, Milford, Conn., this week promoted retail/wholesale underwriting manager Erik Martin to the newly created post of national sales manager for its retail channel.

Prior to joining TMS, Martin was manager/member of Gateway Home Loans LLC, where he led operations of that startup lender, including recruiting and marketing.
During his career Martin also served as director of operations at Access Mortgage Corp., where he worked with the lender on its mortgage broker-to-banker transition.
TMS is a privately held mortgage banker that relies mostly on retail. Last spring it entered the wholesale space.
