The Council of Federal Home Loan Banks has hired former Fannie Mae executive David Jeffers to be its executive vice president of policy and public affairs.
Jeffers' hiring was effective January 1. He joins the Council from The Collingwood Group, a Washington-based financial services advisory firm headed by Joe Murin, a past president of the Government National Mortgage Association.
Jeffers left Fannie Mae in 2006 to start a public relations company called Indelium, LLC, which was based in Arlington, Virginia. Later on he joined the Collingwood Group.
The Council represents the 12 Federal Home Loan Banks. Its president is John von Seggern.
