Mary Lou Christy, who at one time led the mortgage-backed securities trading desk at Fannie Mae, has joined a number of former agency and government officials at The Collingwood Group, a Washington-based business advisory firm.
Christy will be a senior vice president, supporting the private equity and hedge fund advisory practice at Collingwood, a company formed last year by former Federal Housing Administration commissioner Brian Montgomery and ex-Ginnie Mae president Joe Murin.
Former Fannie Mae communications specialist David Jeffers also works for the firm.
Prior to joining Collingwood, Christy was SVP of investor relations at Fannie. She also served as vice president of sales and marketing in the Southwest region for the government sponsored enterprise.
