Freddie, Foundation Donate $10M for Relief

Freddie Mac and the Freddie Mac Foundation have announced a $10 million donation to aid the American Red Cross and other organizations carrying out relief efforts in the wake of Hurricane Katrina.The $10 million, divided equally between the company and the foundation, is in addition to a previously announced $100,000 donation to the Red Cross. "As the region's needs grow clearer, Freddie Mac is committed to pursuing other housing-related strategies and providing resources that will alleviate suffering in the hurricane's aftermath," Freddie Mac said.
