Prendergast has been named senior vice president and chief operating officer of Heritage Property Investment Trust Inc., Boston.Mr. Prendergast, 44, was most recently the company's vice president for property management and construction. He has over 20 years of experience in the real estate industry, managing shopping center and other retail office properties, the company said. Heritage also announced that David C. Sweetser, the company's vice president for business development, will assume responsibility for its property management and construction departments.
