Hope LoanPort Adds Housing Counselor Support Tools

The Hope LoanPort platform has activated a web portal designed to support foreclosure prevention counseling and loss mitigation.

The new national mortgage settlement portal was powered by RxOffice in mid-August. It enables nonprofit housing agencies participating in Fannie Mae's Mortgage Help Network to connect with mortgage servicers, investors, and borrowers. The centralized information platform features document collection, status updates, messages, reporting and oversight.

"The bulk of the new regulatory requirements in residential mortgage servicing, from the national mortgage settlement through the CFPB servicing guidelines, focus on the communication, data and document transmission activities," Camillo Melchiorre, president and chief executive officer of HLP, said in a press release.

Hope LoanPort brings these capabilities into one site standardizing communication for all parties involved including distressed homeowners.
