J.I. Kislak Mortgage, Miami Lakes, has hired Edward Scott, a former JPMorgan Chase executive, to be its southeast regional manager.

Scott, who also will carry the title of senior vice president, spent 11 years at Chase Home Finance, based in Melbourne, Fla.
According to a statement released by Kislak, he grew Chase's mortgage production to a $4 billion a year business (from $1 billion).
Scott will continue to be based in Melbourne, and will report directly to Kislak Mortgage managing director Thomas Wind, a former JPM executive who recently came on board to run the company.
The announcement about Scott's hiring came late Monday. Kislak funds loans only through retail means.
