Walker & Dunlop, LLC, Bethesda, Md., this week hired Rob Rotach as vice president and deputy chief underwriter for its Federal Housing Administration finance department.

Prior to joining Walker & Dunlop, Rotach was assistant vice president and senior FHA underwriter at Wells Fargo & Co. where he was responsible for managing the underwriting and due diligence process for HUD-backed apartment loans.
Wells is one of the largest FHA lenders in the U.S. – in both single- and multifamily, according to figures compiled by National Mortgage News and the Quarterly Data Report.
Rotach is also a member on HUD's Low Income Housing Tax Credit pilot program.
