Michigan Credit Union Offering $7,500 Homebuyer Grants

Consumers Credit Union, Kalamazoo, Mich., is introducing a program offering home buyer assistance grants of up to $7,500 for qualifying first-time buyers.

Consumers CU is just one of a few credit unions in the state offering the program, which is funded annually through the Federal Home Loan Bank of Indianapolis.

Qualified first timers can receive assistance through July 15^th. The program has several features designed to help FTHBs, including a 3% downpayment enticement.

Grant money can be used toward the balance of the downpayment.
