The issuance volume of commercial mortgage-backed securities in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa recovered in 2004 from its first-ever decline in 2003, Moody's Investors Service has reported.The rating agency said the issuance volume of CMBS and multifamily transactions in the EMEA region rose almost 28% to about 22 billion euros (approximately $28.7 billion) in 2004 from 17.5 billion euros (approximately $22.8 billion) in 2003.
