The Santa Ana, California-based lender announced Wednesday the addition of One Goal Mortgage Powered by New American Funding, a branch serving the Omaha, Nebraska, metro area and Southwest Iowa. The team joined New American in January, growing the lender's Midwest reach with its first physical branch in Nebraska.

The team is led by Producing Area Sales Manager Rachel Pierce and brings knowledge of the local market. One Goal will work alongside existing teams in Glenwood and Council Bluffs, Iowa, and strengthen New American's ability to serve borrowers in the border region, the company said in a press release.

"After nearly a decade with my previous company, I spent more than 16 months carefully evaluating where I wanted to take the next chapter of my career and my team," Pierce said in the release. "I was looking for a company that would allow me to continue growing my team, deliver a consistent and elevated borrower experience and create lifelong clients through servicing of our own loans. New American Funding's vision and values align perfectly with my own, making the decision to join their organization the right fit for the future of my team."

Pierce previously worked at Benchmark Mortgage as a mortgage loan originator and a few other lenders in the Omaha area for 17 years. The team, consisting of Home Mortgage Advisors Meggan Jensen and Kelli Lichty, Loan Officer Assistants Krystal Ameson, Amanda Shannon and Kolin Brace, Senior Processor Elisha Konecky and Production Assistant Sammie Pierce, brings an additional 50 years of industry experience, according to the release.

The team helps clients navigate home purchases, refinances and renovation financing. One Goal offers a full range of loan options, including Federal Housing Administration, Department of Veterans Affairs and Department of Agriculture loans, as well as non-qualified mortgages and specialty programs for borrowers with unique financial situations, the release said.

One Goal specializes in new construction financing, medical professional loan programs and the NAF Cash program, an affiliate of New American that allows buyers to present strong cash offers to stand out in competitive markets, according to the release.

"The first time I met Rachel and her team, I knew they were the missing link," said Greg Griffin, regional manager of strategic growth and retention at New American, in the release. "With her leadership and the powerful team she's building, the sky is the limit. This addition reflects New American Funding's continued focus on partnering with top talent to better serve communities and drive future growth."

The addition marks a change in direction for the company, which laid off nearly 1,000 employees in 2022 due to challenging mortgage market conditions.
