David DiStaso has been given the title of chief financial officer at iStar Financial Inc., New York. He has been functioning as the company’s principal financial officer since April.

He had been iStar’s chief accounting officer since 2008 and before that spent 11 years at CIT Group Inc., most recently as chief financial officer of the Consumer Finance Division. DiStaso spent the first 10 years of his career in public accounting with KPMG.
