TD Bank is hiring 87 new mortgage operations staffers, with 50 to be located at its Lexington, S.C., loan center. The rest of the new personnel will be placed in locations across the bank's retail branch footprint on the East Coast from Maine to Florida.

The new hires will be in all back office functions, including processing, appraisals, underwriting and customer care.
Mike Copley, executive vice president, retail lending said TD Bank is "expanding our mortgage lending capabilities thanks to the strength of our credit rating, our commitment to portfolio lending and the high performance of our employees."
