Mortgage Capital Trading Inc. has appointed Bill Berliner to the newly created position of director of analytics.
Berliner has more than 30 years of experience in a variety of different areas of secondary marketing.
He has held executive-level secondary positions with Thomson Reuters, Kinecta Federal Credit Union, Countrywide Securities Corp., Nikko Securities U.S. and Bear Stearns, and has also owned his own consulting practice.

Element Funding, a division of Primary Residential Mortgage Inc., has opened a new branch in Jacksonville, which will be managed by Christopher Owens.
Owens comes to PRMI with 14 years of experience in the mortgage industry and was previously a branch manager and loan officer at GSF Mortgage and Loan Simple.
Primary Residential Mortgage Inc. has also opened a new branch in Pleasanton, Calif., which will be managed by Jason Canepa.
Canepa, who brings 21 years of industry experience to PRMI, will be responsible for the overall management of the branch, recruitment and assisting individuals with their home loan needs.

Mortgage Network Inc. has hired Laurie Souza as a national business development manager.
Souza has more than 25 years of retail and correspondent lending experience.
Prior to Mortgage Network, she served as the New England business development and local investor relationship manager for Fairway Independent Mortgage.

Berkadia has hired Kelly Witherspoon to lead its multifamily investment sales platform in Austin.
He brings 14 years of industry experience to the firm and will be responsible for overseeing and expanding Berkadia's investment sales platform in the Austin metro area.
Prior to joining Berkadia, Witherspoon was a managing director in the multifamily division at Stream Realty Partners in Austin.
Berkadia has also hired Marc Possick as a senior director in its New York office.
Possick brings 25 years of mortgage banking experience to the company and will be responsible for debt origination for multifamily and commercial real estate properties.
Prior to joining Berkadia, he spent 11 years with GE Capital Real Estate, and also served with CBA Mortgage Partners, E&Y Kenneth Leventhal and MetLife.

a360inc has named Richard Leurig as its new chief information officer and Rich Owens as its new chief marketing officer.
Prior to joining a360, Leurig was a senior vice president at CoreLogic. He also served with G-Tech Corp., PolCard, MoneyGram and Tandem Computers.
Owens joins a360inc with over 20 years of marketing experience and previously served VRM Mortgage Services and CoreLogic.
