Esquivel began his mortgage career a decade ago with Corstar Financial, and became part of the Castle & Cooke Mortgage family in 2009 at its Peoria, Ariz., branch.

LRES Corp. said that Chief Strategy Officer Mark R. Johnson is being promoted to the position of company president.
Johnson has more than 20 years of executive experience in the mortgage industry, and prior to LRES he served as division president of Nationstar Mortgage Holdings, and as division president and chief operating officer of Lender Processing Services (now known as Black Knight Financial Services).

Apex Appraisal Service, a nationwide appraisal management company, has named Crispin Bennett its vice president, Eastern division.
Bennett brings more than two decades of experience to the company and will focus on the expansion of services and product development for the Eastern region.
Before joining Apex, he served as chief appraiser for Finance of America, a Blackstone company.

Altisource has appointed Patrick McClain as senior vice president, Hubzu Auction Services.
He will oversee product innovation for the company's online auction, live auction, short sale, claims without conveyance of title and national brokerage services businesses.
McClain is joining Altisource from Auction.com, where he served as senior vice president, asset management, overseeing operations of the REO business unit.

Better Mortgage, a digital mortgage company, has hired Howard Katzenberg as chief financial officer.
Prior to Better, Katzenberg was the CFO of OnDeck, an online small business lender, where he joined in 2008 as one of its first employees.
Katzenberg will be based out of New York and focus on building up the company's West Coast offices.
