RealtyTrac hired Brian Walby as Vice President of Sales and Strategic Alliances.

In this role, Walby will focus on member subscription sales, advertising sales, lead generation programs and product sales.

Walby brings more than 15 years of sales experience to RealtyTrac.

He has held senior management positions in sales and business development with a diverse group of companies, including Experian, LeadPoint and Local.com.

WASHINGTON

The Homeownership Preservation Foundation said that Christopher Herbert has been named to serve on its board of directors.

Herbert is the research director at the Joint Center for Housing Studies at Harvard University.

He has more than two decades of experience conducting research related to housing policy, housing markets, housing finance and urban development.

 

WASHINGTON

The Independent Community Bankers of America announced the nominees for its 2011-2012 executive committee.

Salvatore Marranca, ICBA chairman-elect and president and CEO of Cattaraugus County Bank, Little Valley, N.Y., will become chairman at the 2011 ICBA National Convention to be held March 20-24 in San Diego.

Jeffrey L. Gerhart, chairman of Bank of Newman Grove, Newman Grove, Neb., has been nominated to become ICBA chairman-elect, while William A. Loving Jr. president and CEO of Pendleton Community Bank, Franklin, W.Va., has been nominated to become ICBA vice chairman. James D. MacPhee, CEO, Kalamazoo County State Bank, Schoolcraft, Mich., will become ICBA immediate past chairman.

Also nominated to become members of the ICBA executive committee are secretary, Steven R. Gardner, president and CEO, Pacific Premier Bank, Costa Mesa, Calif.; treasurer, Jack A. Hartings, president and CEO, The Peoples Bank Co., Coldwater, Ohio; director at-large, Rebeca Romero Rainey, board chairman and CEO, Centinel Bank of Taos, Taos, N.M.; and director at-large: Noah W. Wilcox, president and CEO, Grand Rapids State Bank, Grand Rapids, Minn.

Rounding out the executive committee are Michael Menzies, ICBA past chairman and president and CEO of Easton Bank and Trust Co. of Easton, Md., and Cynthia L. Blankenship, ICBA past chairman and vice chairman and chief operating officer of Bank of the West, Grapevine, Texas. Additionally, Camden R. Fine, ICBA president and CEO, will continue to serve on the ICBA executive committee.

 

WASHINGTON

Grovetta Gardineer was named deputy comptroller for compliancy policy at the Office of the Comptroller of Currency.

In this role, Gardineer will be responsible for OCC policy and examination procedures relating to consumer issues and anti-money laundering and will take on this role beginning on Feb. 28.

She has more than 22 years of experience in bank supervision and regulation, and joins the OCC from the Office of Thrift Supervision.

Since 2008, she has served as the managing director for corporate and international activities at the OTS.

She joined the OTS in 2006 as the managing director for supervision policy, where she was responsible for capital policy, credit risk, trust operations, accounting policy and information technology risk assessment.

FORT LAUDERDALE

Weltman, Weinberg & Reis Co. LPA hired Lisa Rogers, Amy McGrotty and Damian Valladares.

Rogers is a junior partner within the foreclosure and evictions group managing the Fort Lauderdale office of WWR.

McGrotty is an associate focused on foreclosure and eviction services in the Fort Lauderdale office of WWR.

Valladares is an associate handling bankruptcy matters within the real estate default group also in the Fort Lauderdale office of WWR.

ATLANTA

Primary Capital Mortgage added Vicki Blum to its sales team as an account executive.

Prior to joining Primary Capital, Blum was employed with Crescent Mortgage as an account executive.

She also served as an account executive for Madison Mortgage and Chevy Chase Bank earlier in her career.

 

ATLANTA

Prommis Solutions said that Charlie Piper has joined the company as chief operations officer where he will assume responsibility for all Prommis Solutions operating units.

As COO, Piper is responsible for the company’s bicoastal operations including customer satisfaction and employee development.

Prior to joining Prommis Solutions, he was managing director for ePay, an electronic payments company.

 

MIGHIGAN

SOUTHFIELD

Mortgage Builder Software named Steve Brunworth to manage its sales effort for the Western region of the company.

Brunworth has 20 years of experience in sales, including 14 years in the mortgage industry, where he began as a retail loan officer and later moved into the mortgage technology sector.

He joined Mortgage Builder from LoanSifter, a provider of pricing and product eligibility technology, and spent several years with PCLender, managing sales in the central United States region for the LOS company.

 

OHIO

CINCINNATI

Robert Calabrese, commercial division manager of Stewart Title of Cincinnati, has been elected president of the Commercial Real Estate Council of Greater Cincinnati.

Comprised of more than 300 commercial brokers, title insurance agents and affiliated professionals, the council is a regional trade association dedicated to serving commercial real estate interests throughout the Greater Cincinnati Tri-State region.

He joined Stewart in 2003 and has managed the Stewart Title commercial division in Cincinnati since 2005.

 

RHODE ISLAND

MIDDLETON

Linear Title & Closing promoted Jessica Digilio as its chief technology officer.

The company also appointed her as a member of its executive management staff.

Digilio has been with Linear since the company's inception in February 2005 and was actually the company's first hire.

 

WISCONSIN

APPLETON

LoanSifter hired Al Ogrodski as senior developer.

Ogrodski brings more than 20 years of technology, business and leadership experience in mortgage technology development to LoanSifter.

Most recently he managed software development efforts at Loan-Score Decisioning Systems.

Prior to Loan-Score, Ogrodski held positions at Portellus Inc. and Mavent Inc.
