Total Mortgage Services hired Victoria Bextel as head of national operations for both its retail and wholesale channels.
Bextel brings to this newly created position over 22 years of operations, underwriting and management experience within the mortgage industry.
Most recently, she was senior vice president, processing services at ISGN, a provider of mortgage technology and services.
The company also hired Elaine Presta as wholesale operations manager with direct operational responsibility for Total Mortgage’s wholesale channel, TMS Funding.
Presta brings to this new position 22 years of experience in operations and underwriting within the mortgage industry.
She joins Total Mortgage from ISGN, where she was assistant vice president, mortgage lending department.

Financial Services Committee chairman Spencer Bachus welcomed Rep. Stephen Fincher, R-Tenn., to the committee.
During the full committee mark up, Bachus offered a resolution appointing Fincher to the Financial Institutions and Consumer Credit Subcommittee, and the Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee.
Fincher is filling the vacancy left by Rep. Kenny Marchant, R-Texas, who was recently appointed to the House Ways and Means Committee.
Additionally, Bachus appointed Rep. Michael Grimm, R-N.Y., to the Financial Institutions and Consumer Credit Subcommittee and Rep. Robert Dold, R-Ill., to the Capital Markets and Government Sponsored Enterprises Subcommittee.

WFG National Title Insurance Co. appointed Roger Blauvelt as vice president, underwriting counsel and Lisa Kent as title officer in its Florida agency group.
Blauvelt’s role with WFG National Title will be to serve as state counsel for Florida, as well as helping to develop and support agency relationships in several Eastern states.
He comes to the firm with over 30 years of experience in the title and mortgage industry, having most recently served as counsel, special issues for the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp.
Kent joins WFG National Title after over 20 years in the settlement services industry.

Shore Financial Services Inc. appointed Michael Jones as its chief financial officer.
Jones most recently served as executive vice president and chief financial officer at Mortgage Assurance Corp.
He also served as senior vice president, finance for Lehman Brothers Global Mortgage Operations in New York and as vice president of financial analytics for Wells Fargo Home Mortgage in Colorado and California.

PulteGroup Inc. named Robert O'Shaughnessy executive vice president and chief financial officer.
O'Shaughnessy will be responsible for the corporate accounting, treasury, tax, investor relations, audit, information technology and asset management functions including the mortgage and title company.
He joins PulteGroup from Penske Automotive Group where he had served as executive vice president and chief financial officer.
O'Shaughnessy will start on May 31, assuming the CFO position from Roger Cregg who earlier this year announced his plans to retire.
Cregg will retire from PulteGroup effective May 27.

Lenders One Mortgage Cooperative appointed Jerry Mercer as director of national programs.
He will oversee the management, retention and growth of Lenders One’s preferred vendor partners as well as the daily operations of the national programs account team.
Mercer brings more than 13 years of experience in the financial services industry to this position.
Prior to joining Lenders One, he was a financial consultant and relationship manager for Charlotte, N.C.-based Ameritrust Wealth Management.

Odeon Capital Group said that Bret Ackerman will join the firm as a director and senior vice president in their sales and trading group.
He will head the firm’s RMBS trading desk, which utilizes the firm’s trademark independent research to provide clients a full service offering for trading in high-yield securities.
Ackerman, a 10-year veteran of the industry, joins Odeon from StormHarbour Securities LP, where he was the head of RMBS trading, having joined the firm as a director in structured product and sales.

Tree.com Inc. appointed Gabriel Dalporto as chief marketing officer of Tree.com and LendingTree.
In this role, he will lead all corporate marketing activities, including brand strategy, online marketing, offline advertising, CRM, affinity and affiliate partnerships, social media, PR, analytics and LendingTree product.
Dalporto brings 15 years of primarily marketing and financial services experience to the CMO role at Tree.com and was most recently chief marketing and strategy officer of online brokerage Zecco Holdings.

His responsibilities include serving as the company’s liaison to life insurance company lenders and assisting senior management with the growth of the firm’s origination volume.

As business development manager, he is responsible for leading sales initiatives in the mortgage loan origination market among mortgage banks, community banks and credit unions.
Woodson has previously worked as a loan producer trainer for Financial Industry Computer Systems and a national account manager for Calyx Software.
He began his career as a loan originator at Countrywide Financial.

Will Reed has joined Concord Eastridge Inc. as managing director of public/private development.
Reed is responsible for the company’s overall growth strategy in public/private development and advisory services in Texas and the Midwest.
Prior to joining Concord Eastridge, he was president of Stainback Public/Private Real Estate, a national real estate advisory firm that assists municipalities, universities, and private developers structure and implement public/private real estate partnerships.
