MortgageAmerica Inc. appointed Maurice F. Wilhelm Jr. to the position of president and chief operating officer.

He will continue to be responsible for all day-to-day operations for the company.

Wilhelm joined MortgageAmerica in 1985.

DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA

WASHINGTON

HFF said that Susan Carras has joined the firm as a senior managing director in its Washington office.

Carras has more than 30 years of experience in commercial real estate, and prior to joining HFF was a senior managing director in Cushman & Wakefield Sonnenblick Goldman’s capital markets group.

Prior to that, she worked at StonebridgeCarras, Sonnenblick-Goldman and First National Bank of Chicago.

WASHINGTON

The American Land Title Association promoted Justin Ailes to vice president of government affairs.

In his expanded role, Ailes is responsible for all of ALTA’s government relations efforts including federal and state government affairs, legislative and regulatory advocacy, legal issues, political action committee and grassroots engagement.

Before joining ALTA, he was deputy federal representative for Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels.

In that capacity, he worked with the federal government, Indiana’s congressional delegation and the governor’s policy staff to promote the governor’s federal priorities.

WASHINGTON

The Independent Community Bankers of America promoted Aleis Stokes to vice president, media and public relations.

In this new position, Stokes will be responsible for ICBA's media and public relations efforts.

Prior to joining ICBA in December 2008 as director of public relations, she worked for the Mortgage Bankers Association, where she was responsible for various media relations and public affairs efforts, including serving as media contact for the Hope Now alliance.

FLORIDA

MIAMI

Patricia Hayhurst was named vice president of residential lending of NAFH National Bank’s South Florida market.

Previously Hayhurst was president of Hayhurst Mortgage and Hayhurst Title Services for over 20 years.

She brings more than 40 years of lending experience to the bank and her background encompasses senior management in banking, mortgage banking, and real estate and consumer lending.

GEORGIA

ATLANTA

Prommis Solutions promoted Kevin Phelan, Brandy Green, Matthew Thigpen, Michelle Ansley and Steven Collier to new executive positions.

Phelan, in his new position as senior vice president of East Coast foreclosure operations, will oversee all foreclosure functions for the states serviced by Prommis on the East Coast, including Florida.

He has been with Prommis for six years and most recently managed the Georgia foreclosure team and was vice president of Statewide Tax & Title Services, a wholly owned subsidiary of Prommis Solutions.

Green, as vice president of REO operations, will assume executive responsibility for all eviction and title support services.

She has been with the company since 2001, during which time she has been worked as a foreclosure specialist and operations manager of Statewide Tax & Title Services.

Thigpen, senior vice president of accounting and finance, was previously managing the company’s financial planning and analysis team since joining the company in 2009.

As part of this promotion, he will also now be responsible for the accounting department and its teams.

Michelle Ansley is now senior vice president of administrative services.

Leading up to this role, she served as vice president of human resources and shared services.

Collier, vice president of loss mitigation, was previously one of the company’s national accounts directors.

In his new role, he will oversee daily operations, vision, strategy and management of Prommis Homeownership Solutions, a Prommis Solutions company.

ATLANTA

Xerox Mortgage Services hired Tina Lindsey to serve as a sales executive for the Western United States.

Lindsey brings more than 25 years of mortgage banking experience, with a focus on document management and workflow software.

Prior to Xerox Mortgage Services, she worked with Rekon Technologies and also spent five years with Stewart Lender Services, selling business process outsourcing for originations and the secondary market.

The company also hired Whitney Boudreaux to serve as director of marketing.

Boudreaux has worked with the Xerox Mortgage Services for nearly five years as a marketing consultant with Arketi Group, a business-to-business digital and public relations agency.

NEW MEXICO

ALBUQUERQUE

The New Mexico Mortgage Finance Authority appointed Dennis Burt as chair of its board of directors.

Burt was named to the position by Gov. Susanna Martinez and replaces board member and acting chair Michael Sivage.

Burt is the founder of Burt & Co. CPAs, a full-service accounting firm that has been in operation for 21 years.

MFA is a quasi-public entity that provides financing for housing and other related services to low- to moderate-income New Mexicans.

A legislative oversight committee approves MFA’s rules and regulations and discusses proposed housing-related legislative initiatives.

Claims Recovery Financial Services promoted Dennis Heil to manager of conventional claims and named Debbie Walsh manager of government claims.

GARDEN CITY

Associated Mortgage Bankers said that Kevin Blakeney has joined the firm as vice president of sales/reverse division.

Blakeney has more than 15 years of experience in the mortgage industry.

Prior to joining Associated Mortgage Bankers, he served as vice president of sales at Senior Lending Network.

TEXAS

HOUSTON

Will Reed has joined Concord Eastridge Inc. as managing director of public/private development.

Reed is responsible for the company’s overall growth strategy in public/private development and advisory services in Texas and the Midwest.

Prior to joining Concord Eastridge, he was president of Stainback Public/Private Real Estate, a national real estate advisory firm that assists municipalities, universities, and private developers structure and implement public/private real estate partnerships.
