WASHINGTON

The Mortgage Bankers Association nominated E. J. Burke, executive vice president and group head of KeyBank Real Estate Capital and Corporate Banking Services, to be its vice chair-elect.

Burke will be elected by MBA members at the association's 98th annual convention, which will be held in October in Chicago.

He currently serves as chair of MBA's Commercial Real Estate/Multifamily Finance Board of Governors and is a member of the MBA board of directors.

Before assuming responsibility for the entire real estate capital line of business, he served as head of real estate capital markets for Key.

Prior to joining KeyBank, Burke was president and a founding member of Kansas City-based National Realty Funding, which was acquired by KeyCorp in 2000.

FLORIDA

FORT LAUDERDALE

BankAtlantic appointed Russell Burdsall to senior vice president of BankAtlantic Mortgage Services.

In his new role, Burdsall will develop and implement strategies to increase mortgage production and profitability.

His career spans over 20 years in the financial services industry.

JACKSONVILLE

Lender Processing Services Inc. named Joe Jacquot, who served from 2007-2011 as deputy attorney general of Florida and chief of staff for attorney general Bill McCollum, senior vice president of government affairs.

In his new role with LPS, Jacquot will provide leadership and strategic oversight of legislative, political, advocacy and other public affairs activities.

Prior to his work as deputy attorney general for Florida, he served as the deputy chief counsel for the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee.

GEORGIA

ATLANTA

Beazer Homes USA Inc. said that Allan Merrill has been appointed president and CEO and has been elected to the board of directors.

In addition, Robert Salomon has been appointed executive vice president and CFO.

Merrill succeeds Ian McCarthy who is leaving the company and has resigned from the board of directors.

Merrill has been the company’s chief financial officer for the past four years.

Prior to joining the company, he held both strategic and operational roles with Move Inc.

Salomon joined Beazer Homes in 2008 as the company’s chief accounting officer.

He has more than 25 years of financial management experience, including over 19 years in the homebuilding industry.

MARYLAND

ROCKVILLE

Federal Realty Investment Trust said that Jeff Kreshek has joined the trust as vice president, West Coast leasing.

Kreshek most recently served as principal, leasing at CIM Group, where he was responsible for the leasing of their urban retail portfolio and nationwide commercial real estate portfolio.

Prior to CIM, he was vice president of development and operations at Regent Properties in Beverly Hills, Calif.

Additionally, he was president and founder of Vision Property Management Inc., a full-service retail real estate development, leasing and management company in Los Angeles.

Steven Parrinello has joined Hudson Realty Capital LLC as vice president, originations.

Based in the firm’s New York office, he will be responsible for originating debt and equity real estate transactions nationally.

Prior to joining Hudson, Parrinello served as an investment officer for real estate at CapitalSource Finance.

Previously, he served as a financial analyst of the global commercial real estate group for UBS Investment Bank and was a senior associate of the real estate and banking practices for KPMG.

Hudson also appointed Nicholas Paliouras to the position of vice president, asset management.

Prior to joining Hudson, Paliouras was an asset manager for Gramercy Capital Corp.

He also previously served as a vice president, producer for RBC Capital Advisors, senior real estate investment associate for Pacific Life’s Real Estate Division, and commercial real estate lending officer for Centura Bank Inc. and Wachovia.

PENNSYLVANIA

FORT WASHINGTON

Aklero Risk Analytics Inc. named Carolyn Mitchell as senior vice president.

As senior vice president, Mitchell will oversee business development and sales for the Northeast region within the company.

She is also charged with business development for the company’s quality control audit division.

Mitchell is the founder, former president and CEO of Magnet Portfolio Services Inc., and also held senior positions at Freddie Mac, Lomas and Nettleton.

HORSHAM

Berkadia said that Richard Koller has joined the company as a senior vice president.

Prior to joining Berkadia, Koller was founder and president of KCCI Commercial Real Estate Services.

He also worked for the National Association of Realtors, where he was instrumental in the early development of the commercial secondary mortgage market.

TEXAS

HOUSTON

Stewart Lender Services, a wholly owned subsidiary of Stewart Title Co., appointed Brian Moss to the position of senior vice president, national account manager.

In this role Moss will be responsible for helping SLS enter into new strategic relationships with a primary focus on the top national lender servicers, along with ongoing product innovation and consultative support.

He joins SLS from the FDIC where he recently served as a senior manager over their post-closing asset management division.

IRVING

Caliber Funding LLC appointed Brian Simon as chief executive officer and Michael Massella as senior vice president, wholesale production.

Simon joins Caliber Funding with nearly 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, including senior leadership roles at Freedom Mortgage, Prime Mortgage Financial and Startbank.

Massella joins Caliber Funding after serving as senior vice president of First Savings Mortgage, and also as president, production of Aegis Mortgage Corp.
