LOS ANGELES

Kilroy Realty Corp. appointed Mike Shields as vice president in charge of the company's Pacific Northwest region with responsibilities that include asset management, leasing, acquisitions, development and redevelopment.

He has 16 years of experience in the Puget Sound commercial real estate market serving with Spieker Properties, Equity Office Properties and Trinity Real Estate.

Most recently, Shields served as principal at Trinity Real Estate where he was responsible for property acquisitions, financing and asset management in the Puget Sound market.

LOVELAND

Kroll Factual Data said that Rod Bazzani has joined the company as president.

Based in Loveland, Bazzani will lead the company's growth initiatives, focusing on client experience and satisfaction.

He comes to Kroll Factual Data with 28 years of experience in the consumer credit data business, and served most recently as group vice president of marketing services at TransUnion.

The Collingwood Group has retained Manoj K. Singh as a special advisor.

In his new role, Singh will work with The Collingwood Group to further help clients navigate the business opportunities that exist in Washington as a result of the housing crisis.

He has a background in financial services, most recently senior vice president of pricing and securitization (single family) and, before that, senior vice president, head of market risk management for Freddie Mac.

Prior to joining Freddie Mac, Singh held executive-level positions with Bear Stearns (senior managing director, FAST group), Lehman Brothers Inc. (senior vice president, risk management) and Wasserstein Perella Capital Management (vice president, R&D).

The Law Offices of Marshall C. Watson, a provider of legal services to mortgage servicers and lenders, said former Broward Chief Circuit Judge Victor Tobin has joined the firm as general counsel.

In this role, he will oversee the attorneys and ensure best practices and procedures are enhanced at the firm.

As Chief Circuit Judge, Tobin was charged with the management and control of the physical courthouse complex and approximately 350 employees and 89 judges.

He created and implemented a Foreclosure Division resulting in the transfer of more than 50,000 pending cases from the Circuit Civil Division into three divisions—two contested and one uncontested.

Xinnix said that Bruce Grant has joined the company as a sales and leadership trainer.

He brings more than 26 years of sales, marketing and mortgage experience to Xinnix.

Prior to joining the company, Grant served as vice president and area manager for Plano, Texas-based WR Starkey Mortgage.

Previously, he spent 18 years with Atlanta-based HomeBanc Mortgage Corp., where he managed retail production, sales training, product development, field marketing and builder services.

Claims Recovery Financial Services hired Lynette Richter as consulting manager, where she will be responsible for overseeing all operational aspects of the consulting group.

Richter brings over 25 years of management, technical, and consulting experience in the mortgage servicing profession.

Prior to CRFS, she was the director of quality assurance with the consulting firm Lyons McCloskey.

MINNESOTA

MINNEAPOLIS

Independence Realty Securities, a registered broker-dealer and wholly owned subsidiary of RAIT Financial Trust, hired Jill McKenzie as its new national accounts manager.

McKenzie was a founding member of the Financial Services Institute, an advocacy organization for independent broker-dealers and independent financial advisors.

Prior to her time at FSI, she served as corporate relations manager for the Financial Planning Association.

PENNSYLVANIA

FORT WASHINGTON

Aklero Risk Analytics Inc. promoted Julia Hernandez to senior vice president for professional services.

She previously was Aklero's vice president of implementations.

Hernandez is an industry veteran with more than 25 years of experience in the information technology, banking and finance industries.

She was a member of the Lydian Data Services Management Team and has also held positions at First Union Bank and Electronic Data Systems Corp.

HORSHAM

Berkadia said that Stephen Ervin has joined the company as a senior vice president and Rick Sherman has signed on as FHA chief underwriter.

Prior to joining Berkadia, Ervin was a senior vice president of Walker & Dunlop's FHA finance group where he was responsible for oversight of origination, underwriting, quality control, closing and servicing of HUD loans as well as all personnel and administrative requirements of the HUD program.

Prior to Berkadia, Sherman spent eight years as vice president and general counsel for Gershman Investment Corp., where he was a government-approved underwriter for multifamily and health care property loans.

On the investment sales side, Berkadia Investment Client Services also recently expanded to the West Coast with the appointment of Joe Kimaz as senior director in Los Angeles.

VIRGINIA

ARLINGTON

NCB FSB said that Takashi Otani has joined its community association lending team as its newest assistant vice president.

In this capacity, Otani will serve as a loan officer to the community and housing associations, working directly with them to secure financial packages to meet varying funding needs.

Most recently, he was an assistant vice president in the bank's capital markets department working with mortgage-backed securities loan sales.
