Cornerstone Real Estate Advisers named Mark Higgins president.
As president, Higgins will oversee Cornerstone's debt and equity real estate investments in North America, supervising all activities related to a diversified portfolio of commercial properties, including equity acquisitions, asset management and dispositions, as well as debt vehicles such as mortgages, CMBS and mezzanine loans.
He joined Cornerstone in 1996, and most recently was chief investment officer, equity, with responsibility for all direct equity investments in North America.
Previously he was a principal with HPI Realty Partners, a San Francisco-based firm, which he co-founded in 1991.
WILTON
Westport Capital Partners said that Marian George has joined the firm as assistant vice president, legal.
George's responsibilities include working on the legal aspects of the due diligence, acquisition, management, financing and disposition of Westport's property and debt investments.
She was most recently an associate at the law firm of Goodwin Procter for over four years where she represented domestic and foreign investors, fund sponsors, institutional investment advisors and investment banks in a variety of real estate transactions.
