WASHINGTON

The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency appointed David Nebhut deputy comptroller for economic and policy analysis.

As deputy comptroller, Nebhut oversees the portion of the OCC's economics program that carries out economic analysis of banking and the financial system more broadly, and conducts research and analysis related to economic aspects of policy issues.

He joined the OCC in 1980 as a financial economist and most recently served as the director of the policy analysis division and also, since June 2010, as the interim director of the compliance risk analysis division.

Milestone Advisors said that Timothy Kruse has joined the firm's advisory practice as a managing director.

Kruse will be based in the firm's Washington headquarters where he will focus on both the public and private financial services sector.

His primary focus will be on providing advisory services and asset sales advice to the GSEs, U.S. regulatory agencies and other governmental entities, as well as the banking and mortgage finance sectors.

Prior to joining Milestone, Kruse held a number of high-level jobs at the FDIC, serving as both the manager, seller finance and also as a senior capital markets specialist in the Division of Resolutions & Receiverships at the FDIC since December 2008.

Prior to joining to the FDIC, he held a number of positions in the field of finance, with a particular focus on mortgage finance.

WASHINGTON

The Mortgage Bankers Association elected of Tari L. Flannery, president, M&T Realty Capital Corp., as the new chair of the Commercial Real Estate/Multifamily Finance Board of Governors at the association's 98th annual convention in Chicago.

Vice chair Brian Stoffers, president, CBRE Capital Markets, returns as a vice chair for COMBOG.

Joining him as a new vice chair is Mark Wilsmann, managing director, MetLife Inc.

COMBOG is comprised of MBA member executives representing all aspects of the commercial/multifamily real estate finance industry.

Flannery was previously vice chair of COMBOG. In addition to her service on COMBOG, she serves on MBA's board of directors and DUS Advisory Council, and has served on the Multifamily Steering Committee, Investment Management Committee and as chair of the COMBOG Origination Council.

Serving his second term as vice chair, Stoffers also serves on MBA's board of directors, and formerly served on the COMBOG Membership Committee and the Capital Markets Committee.

In his first term as vice chair, Wilsmann has served as a member of the COMBOG Advisory Committee and as chair of the Portfolio Investors Committee.
