Hilco Real Estate said that David Kirshenbaum has joined the company as senior vice president.

Prior to joining Hilco, Kirshenbaum was senior vice president of residential and retail operations with Joseph Freed and Associates, a Chicago-based developer, manager and owner of large-scale urban retail, residential and mixed-use projects.

He served as COO and then president of LR Development Co., also a Chicago-based developer, and was a transactional real estate attorney with the firm of Rudnick & Wolfe (now DLA Piper).
