CapitalSource said that Mark Silverstein has joined the firm as a managing director, focusing on commercial real estate secondary market transactions.

He will manage distribution and syndication of commercial real estate loans nationwide.

Prior to joining CapitalSource, Silverstein was with Credit Suisse for 14 years, where he served most recently as a managing director in the CMBS group.

Earlier in his career, he worked in the CMBS group at Nomura Securities, and prior to that was a commercial real estate broker at Cushman & Wakefield in Los Angeles.
