Morgan Keegan & Co. appointed Laca Wong-Hammond to lead the real estate practice of the firm's health care investment banking group.

She joined Morgan Keegan in 2006 with the acquisition of Shattuck Hammond Partners and has more than 12 years of real estate experience, including six years dedicated to health care real estate.

Before joining Shattuck Hammond, she was a vice president at Merrill Lynch, responsible for the internal corporate finance group's real estate, investor relations and rating agency affairs.
