Long & Foster Real Estate Inc. said that Frank Dillow of its commercial division has been appointed to serve on the Commercial Alliance Committee of the Virginia Association of Realtors for 2012.
Dillow, who is licensed in Virginia, Maryland and Washington, D.C., will begin his one-year appointment in November 2011.
VAR's Commercial Alliance Committee oversees the work of the association's Realtor Commercial Alliance.
Dillow joined Long & Foster's commercial division more than four years ago after retiring as vice president of federal relations with Verizon Communications.

First Guaranty Mortgage Corp. promoted Andrew Peters to be its new chief executive officer.
Peters has been with FGMC for over 10 years, serving most recently as its SVP, national business director.
He has also held positions within the company in underwriting, sales and loan origination.
His recent focus has been on REO lending initiatives, including FGMC's “Rebuild the Dream” initiative, which was designed to facilitate renovation lending in combination with REO sales.
Peters previously spent four years with Staten Island Bank, with duties as head underwriter as well as East regional sales manager during his tenure there.
