Rocket Pro TPO rolling out several enhancements to its broker tech

Rocket Pro TPO introduced a number of enhancements to its mortgage broker technology offerings, including a product designed to boost relationships with real estate agents with the expected switch to a purchase market.

The company built a proprietary tracking engine in its mortgage broker portal detailing which real estate agents an originator is working with to ensure those relationships are protected.

"We will honor these connections, while also leveraging our Rocket platform to help brokers create new partnerships," Austin Niemiec, executive vice president of Rocket Pro TPO, said in a press release. "The truth is, there is plenty of business for everyone to be successful in the mortgage market and this is yet another example of Rocket Pro TPO's commitment to invest in our broker partners."

Rocket has been in a market share battle with United Wholesale Mortgage, a company which is also known for its mortgage broker facing technology. This includes UWM's own marketing portal for broker use.

In March, UWM cut off any mortgage brokers that work with Rocket, claiming its Detroit-area rival had a program where its consumer-direct unit worked with real estate brokers.

In addition to the tracking engine, Rocket Pro TPO is rolling out a new document portal that has branding options for users.

Mortgage brokers can have their borrowers use Rocket Pro TPO Client Portal to upload and eSign their mortgage documents. Furthermore, these brokers can have their brand stand alone on the portal or co-brand it with Rocket.

Rocket pilot tested the portal for the last several months and the company will onboard more users each week until its formal launch in December.

Another upgrade involves Rocket Pro TPO's marketing hub, which will now provide materials right in the broker portal. With the change, mortgage brokers can make their promotional items either with their own brand or co-branded with Rocket, plus they have the ability to change the font, color and images on the materials.

The marketing hub is also now more intuitive, searchable and easier to use, the company said.

It also announced two enhancements to Rocket Connect, the communication technology between mortgage brokers and the company's underwriters.

Rocket Pro TPO now promises to respond to inquiries in a two-hour window and brokers have the ability to immediately escalate their request to the wholesaler's operations leaders.
