Zillow Launches New Ad Campaign

Real estate and rental marketplace Zillow is rolling out a new national ad campaign helmed in part by an Academy Award-winning filmmaker.

The campaign, entitled "Home," initially will include eight television spots featuring real people describing their homes. Seattle-based Zillow plans to introduce additional commercials in the spring and summer.

Errol Morris, whose 2003 film "The Fog of War" won the Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature, directed the commercials. To create the campaign, Morris interviewed more than 100 people nationwide before selecting 12 to be featured in the ads, the company said in a press release Monday.

The commercials will air on broadcast and cable networks including ABC, NBC, HGTV, TNT and TBS. In addition to the TV spots, Zillow's campaign will also feature radio, print and digital advertising.

The effort altogether builds on Zillow's previous ad campaign, called "Find Your Way Home," which ran from 2013 to 2015.
