Last time I wrote about some of the better marketing I saw in the past few weeks as I continue to recover from a leg infection. Unfortunately not all advertising I came across was as strong.
There is a commercial for My Pillow that fits into the ugly category. Looking at the description of this pillow and how its construction is supposed to enhance sleep, it sounds like something I would like to check out.
Unfortunately, the television commercials I have seen selling My Pillow are not as strong as the product being sold.
The graphics look cheesy and that distracts from the commercial’s strong point—it features multiple testimonials from people who have purchased My Pillow and are satisfied with it. If the commercial was tighter in its presentation, it could be successful.
The lesson here—a weak presentation distracts from a strong product and dilutes your message.
