Sitting on the Golf Course

I am not a golfer. The one time I golfed, my friends laughed at me the entire time. I use “friends” very loosely here.  I vowed never to golf again.

Last week I had a chance to sponsor a hole at our local Realtor golf tournament with another loan officer from my company.  Here's a breakdown of our expenses:

$300−hole sponsor

$77−135 packs of Extra gum for swag bags (both of our business cards and a tag that said "We'll go the extra mile for you.")

$50−gift card for giveaway

$29−Fat Boy ice cream sandwiches

Total cost each:  $228

There were 135 people golfing−Realtors, builders, title, lenders, etc. I was able to connect with quite few Realtors that I don't know well but have been trying to get business from. Two leads came as a direct result of the day on the golf course.

It also didn't hurt that it was a perfect 75 degrees and a gorgeous day. I've decided that sitting on the golf course is much more fun that actually golfing. I will definitely do this again next year.
