Carrington Adds Conventional Loans to Broker Product Menu

Carrington Mortgage Services has added conventional loans to the portfolio of products offered by its wholesale lending division.

Until now, mortgage brokers only had access to Carrington's government loan offerings. Among the products Carrington will now offer are conforming fixed-rate loans, Freddie Open Access loans and DU Refi Plus loans, the Anaheim, Calif.-based company said in a news release Tuesday.

"With the addition of our wholesale lending conventional loan products, Carrington can now offer even more purchase loan options for borrowers with great credit, first-time homebuyers, those needing a low down payment and the underserved," said Patrick Flanagan, executive vice president of Carrington Mortgage Services' wholesale lending division, in the release.

The other new offerings also include conforming high-balance loans and lender-paid mortgage insurance.
