Rhode Island's housing market cooled a bit in February, as the median sales price remain unchanged from the same month a year ago, but the number of sales fell, and houses lingered on the market a week longer before selling.
The median sales price of a single-family house this February and last was $250,000, according to numbers from the Rhode Island Association of Realtors.

The total number sold was 534, down 7.8 percent from February of last year.
The average number of days a house was on the market this February was 72, up 10.8% from last February's 65.
While fewer houses were being sold, more were being offered for sale, with 2,769 listed in February of this year, a 5.9% increase from last year.
Multi-unit houses saw a decrease of less than 1% in the number sold, while the median sales price rose 11.6%. The price rose from $228,500 to $255,000, while the number sold dropped from 117 to 116.
Condominiums saw the opposite: price dropped 1.5%, from $210,750 to $207,500, while the number sold rose 11.6%, from 112 to 125.
