Faith Schwartz Leaves Hope Now

Faith Schwartz has quietly left the Hope Now servicer alliance that was formed back in 2007 to work with the Treasury Department on a national effort to help millions of struggling homeowners remain in their homes.

A former Freddie Mac executive, she was the first executive director of Hope Now and is currently looking for other opportunities, according to a Hope Now spokesman.

Hope Now’s long-time director of outreach Eric Selk is serving as the new executive director.

“2012 saw the mortgage industry and its partners continue to make strides in assisting homeowners nationwide,” Selk said in releasing the December Hope Now report Monday.

During Schwartz’s tenure, Hope Now servicers completed 6 million loan modifications, 4.9 million proprietary mods and 1.1 million HAMP mods.
