FICS LOS Users Can Order MI from Essent

Essent Guaranty Inc. said users of the FICS Loan Producer loan origination system can seamlessly order mortgage insurance coverage from the company, including having the ability to underwrite loans and provide real-time quotes to customers.

Radnor, Pa.-based Essent is one of two private mortgage insurers to start operations after the real estate collapse impacted the industry and forced three underwriters into run-off. Besides the FICS LOS, Essent policies can be ordered through LoanSifter, Lender Processing Services’ RealEC, Calyx and Ellie Mae Encompass, a company spokeswoman said. Essent’s guidelines are also available on LendingQB’s automated underwriting system.
