First American Title Insurance Names Friedman COO for Default Services Group

First American Title Insurance Co.’s mortgage services division named Eric Friedman chief operating officer for its default services group.

In his new role, Friedman is responsible for all areas within the company’s default services group, including new product development, compliance, client relations management and technology.

Prior to joining First American, Santa Ana, Calif., he served as president and chief operating officer for PREO LLC, an online real estate marketplace for distressed assets.

He has also held positions at OneWest Bank, formerly IndyMac Federal Bank, and at Fannie Mae.
