Former Justice Attorney Joins OCC

The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency named Donna Murphy to be its new director of community and consumer law.

Her office is responsible for legal interpretations and providing advice on consumer protection, fair lending and community reinvestment issues, according to OCC’s deputy chief counsel Daniel Stipano.

“Donna’s extensive experience in complex regulatory and policy issues in housing and fair lending enforcement makes her an excellent choice for OCC’s director for community and consumer law,” Stipano said.

Murphy previously worked at the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division.
