Moyle was previously the founder and CEO of Homefacts, which was acquired by RealtyTrac in April 2012. After the Irvine, Calif.-based firm bought the online data due diligence resource for homeowners and prospective real estate buyers, Moyle was named president and COO at RealtyTrac.

Additionally, Moyle was the founder of the online vacation rental sales retailer SkiWest, which he sold to Overstock.com in 2005.

“The acquisition of Homefacts provided RealtyTrac with a unique opportunity to increase its capabilities and simultaneously tap into the entrepreneurial experience of Jamie Moyle,” said David Hull, partner at Renovo Capital, which acquired a majority stake in RealtyTrac in November 2011. “The entrepreneurial vision and operational expertise possessed by Moyle made him an obvious choice to step into this new role.”

Brandon Moore, who became CEO of RealtyTrac in late 2011, will remain with the firm and serve as a consultant to the board. Moore will focus on intensive testing initiatives to enhance the subscription-based business model that RealtyTrac offers consumers.

Moyle said he wants to make visible enhancements to RealtyTrac’s website within the next few months to make it a more usable tool for customers.

“These enhancements will provide real estate consumers and professionals easier access to the information they need to effectively make the right decisions about real estate,” Moyle said in a press release.
