J.G. Wentworth to Advertise New Home Lending Product

J.G. Wentworth Co. has begun a marketing campaign to call attention to its new home-lending business.

The Radnor, Pa., company in March acquired WestStar Mortgage, a residential mortgage lender that specializes in originating conventional, VA and FHA loans. The purchase allowed J.G. Wentworth to expand beyond its business of structured settlement payment purchasing.

J.G. Wentworth rebranded WestStar as J.G. Wentworth Home Lending and the marketing campaign is designed to help the company increase market share. J.G. Wentworth originates loans in both the consumer-direct and retail channels.

The campaign will include online display ads, paid search ads and social media ads. J.G. Wentworth will also run television ads promoting is residential mortgage lending.

The ad agency VML in Kansas City, Mo., developed J.G. Wentworth's marketing campaign. J.G. Wentworth did not disclose how much it spent on its development.
