The newly added pipeline functionality that turns the software into “a fully functional lending management tool” helps lenders adjust to the new marketplace, said Don Kracl, vice president of mortgage tools for Zillow, using built-in scripting, decision support and reports that ensure managers “the leads they are paying for are getting worked efficiently by their workforce.”

New features include information about the lead source, status and loan characteristics, automatic lead exhaustion and exclusion from the pipeline, follow-up scheduling, and automatic reminders for past-due or upcoming calls and “advanced administrative reporting” that compare loan officer and lead source performance.

Lincoln, Neb.-based Mortech provides mortgage technology solutions to correspondent lenders, bankers, credit unions and smaller community lenders. According to Jay Waddell, customer acquisition manager for Stonegate Mortgage Corp., the new functionality reflects feedback from online lenders and other lender users of Mortech tools.

Since the launch, response from loan officers find the new process easy to use to screen loans, manage lead generation, track loan status updates, or determine which loans are active and which need follow up, he said. “And as time goes on I expect our contact rates and pull-through to increase.”
