MountainView Buys Clayton’s Fixed Income Asset Valuation Unit

MountainView Capital Holdings this week inked a deal to buy Clayton IPS, the independent pricing service division of Clayton Holdings, Shelton, Conn. The firms declined to disclose the purchase price.

Roughly 10 Clayton employees will join MountainView in its Denver office.

Clayton IPS focuses on fixed income analytics and pricing with an expertise on hard-to-value securities, including RMBS, CMBS and ABS.

The name of the unit has already been changed to MountainView IPS.

Clayton is a due diligence provider on all types of mortgage assets. MountainView is a fixed-income mortgage specialist which focuses on servicing rights, whole loan sales, trading, and other types of transactions.
