Nationstar President and COO Harold Lewis Retires

Nationstar Mortgage Holdings president and chief operating officer Harold Lewis has announced his plans to retire and resign his posts with the company, effective May 31.

Lewis joined Nationstar in 2012 and primarily led the company's servicing division as COO, according to a May 14 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Prior to his time with Dallas-based company, he held positions with CitiMortgage and Fannie Mae, a spokesman told National Mortgage News.

In Lewis' wake, current Nationstar chief executive Jay Bray will assume the role of president. The company has also tapped Mike Rawls as executive vice president of servicing. In this position, Rawls will take on most of Lewis' responsibilities for the servicing division, and the company has decided not to name a new COO.

Earlier in May, Nationstar reported a $48 million net loss, which stemmed in large part from a $105.7 million loss in the servicing segment.
